Grant full file system access to an application

macOS 13 (Ventura) and later

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Click on Privacy & security in the left pane.
  3. Click on Full disk access in the right pane.
  4. Click on +, and then enter the credentials of a macOS user account that has administrative privileges.
  5. Choose the application to which you wish to grant full disk access.

macOS 12 (Monterey) and earlier

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click on Security & privacy.
  3. Click on Privacy.
  4. Select Full disk access in the list situated on the left.
  5. Click on the padlock button, and then enter the credentials of a macOS user account that has administrative privileges.
  6. Click on +.
  7. Choose the application to which you wish to grant full disk access.
